Good evening, Calvary Chapel Lake City!
Good to see you all this evening as we continue our chapter and verse journey through the Old Testament.
Please open your Bibles to Genesis 1. Genesis 1 14-23 this evening.
We have come as far as looking at the first three days of creation.
On Day 1, God created the heavens and the earth… which was without form and void… until God said, “Let there be light.”
Evening and morning… time, space, gravity, spherical rotation… laws of physics all introduced… on the first day.
And, the Spirit of God was present… He could have been anywhere in the universe… but He was on earth… “hovering over the face of the waters.”
Not an accident. And, God saw “it was good.”
On Day 2, God created a firmament… an expanse… that divided the waters above from the waters below.
Traditionally, Creationist have held the expanse is a Water Vapor Canopy… that surrounded the planet until the flood.
And, I don’t doubt that… I lean in this direction.
Job 22:14, Eliphaz described God and said, “Thick clouds cover Him, so that He cannot see, And He walks above the circle of heaven.’”
The ‘circle of heaven’… what’s that?
Pro 8:27-28 personifies Wisdom and declares, “When He prepared the heavens, I [wisdom] was there, When He drew a circle on the face of the deep, 28 When He established the clouds above...”
Interesting… was this the vapor canopy?
(I know Ed over here is emphatically saying, ‘yes.’)
However, Answers in Genesis, who we very much appreciate, presently holds the position that the expanse in not a water vapor canopy, but the expanse of the sky, outer space and the edge of the universe… and there is massive amounts of water in the galaxy and beyond.
Because if the firmament converted from vapor to rain… the energy produced would literally cook the planet and there wouldn’t be enough vapor to sustain 40 days and nights of rain.
But, if God can create something from nothing… if He can speak life into existence… what’s condensation… a phenomenon in physics… to Him?
Jesus walked on water… defying gravity… and proving He had power over creation.
He spoke and the wind ceased. He turned water to wine. He rose from the dead.
Man is insufficient for these things.
On Day 3, God "saw it was good” twice. Day 3 was “doubly good.”
On this day, God made dry land appear… and brought forth vegetation… and seeds… and fruit… “according to it’s kind” (which we will discuss tonight).
Life in the Bible begins on dry land, not in the sea as Evolutionists postulate.
I do hope this study… in looking at some of the alternative… secular theories of Creation… has been helpful… or a good reminder, and exposing some of their flaws.
In the past three messages, we discussed the Big Bang Theory, Evolution and the evil influence that results on the morality in society…
.... the Day Age Theory, the Flat-Earth theory… which is… ridiculous…
Lot’s of theories… and many beyond what we’ve looked at.
And, we don’t have to… for it is easier and far more profitable to believe… in faith and by the evidences all around us in nature… that “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”
And, as we continue to go through Genesis, the why becomes more important than than how.
The motive behind why will outshine the science that we wonder about.
So, let’s continue in this study of origins… looking now at “The Fourth & Fifth Days of Creation”… our message title this evening.
Let’s Pray!
In reverence for God’s word, please stand as I read our passage.
Gen 1:14-23 “Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years; 15 and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth”; and it was so. 16 Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also. 17 God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth, 18 and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 So the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
20 Then God said, “Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens.” 21 So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 22 And God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.” 23 So the evening and the morning were the fifth day.”
Praise God for His word! Please be seated.
On the Fourth day… once again by the word of the Lord… God said… and it was so…
“Let there be lights…”
Let us never forget the power of God’s word…
The Psalmist wrote… Psalm 33:6-9 “By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, And all the host of them by the breath of His mouth. 7 He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap; He lays up the deep in storehouses. 8 Let all the earth fear the Lord; Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him. 9 For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.”
The word of the Lord is powerful… whether spoken… or written.
On day 2 (V3), God said, “Let there be light...” but two different Hebrew words are used.
V3… light… singular… Heb. Or… meaning “illumination” or “brightness”…
V14… lights… plural… Heb. maor… meaning “light bearer” or “light source.”
Which we see further described in V16 as two great lights… the “greater light to rule the day” (our Sun)… and the “lesser light to rule the night” (our Moon)…
… and the stars.
First God spoke light into our existence on Day 2… intrinsic light… as it would seem divine light originating from God… much like we see in Revelation… in the New Jerusalem…
Rev 21:23 reads, “The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light.”
Not only do we read about this light in Rev 21, but I think we forget that we literally will behold this light one day...
We never saw the light of Day 2 of creation… but God has revealed through His word that we will again see and experience His light… it’s a beautiful promise… and truly glorious.
So, God reveals intrinsic light on Day 2… and then on Day 14… He creates light-bearers… generators of light…
And, both light on Day 2 and lights on Day 14 divide the light from the darkness… (V4 & V18)…
And, so it is in both the physical and spiritual realm… light and darkness are distinct.
Paul wrote “what communion has light with darkness?” (2 Cor 6:14)
It’s a rhetorical question…
Paul answered in Eph 5:11, “… have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness...”
And… just as there is a distinction between spiritual light and darkness.... so too… here in the beginning of the physical creation, there was a distinction.
The context of the firmament… the expanse here in V14 is not as difficult to interpret as the expanse that separates the waters earlier…
We know from technology… so simply by looking up at the day and night sky…
That in the celestial sphere… are celestial bodies…
We stand privileged to have our sun… providing warmth and light… just the right amount…
… not too much to burn us up… and not too little to freeze us…
Just right to sustain life… and it’s important that light came in on Day 4… because plant life on Day 3 would need to be nurtured by the light of the sun.
And… God set these things in place to bring order to life… God is a God of order… not of chaos…
The cycle of evening and morning… darkness and light… day by day… month by month…
As the earth rotates… it creates V14 “signs and seasons”…
The sun and moon are observable signs that mark the seasons…
Some people… though misguided… think of the signs of the zodiac… in the discussion of stars… constellations… and signs…
Like, “What’s your sign?”
Stop sign… just don’t go there.
Astrology is a form of divination and the occult… it’s not of God… and it’s not in these verses.
In Deut 4:19 Moses warned the Israelites, “And take heed, lest you lift your eyes to heaven, and when you see the sun, the moon, and the stars, all the host of heaven, you feel driven to worship them and serve them, which the Lord your God has given to all the peoples under the whole heaven as a heritage.”
Be cautious with any misplaced worship… any exodus of thought from God as creator… and idolatry of the heart.
Moses said, “For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.”
We’re talking about natural signs and seasons… which God set in motion here on Day 4.
Since the Earth's axis is tilted, our Northern Hemisphere is tilted away from the sun in the winter… and towards the sun in the summer.
And, we observe the progression in the change of seasons. Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter…
I grew up in four seasons… I appreciate the change, and having four defined seasons.
We appreciate seasons… the Psalmist did too… in Ps 104:19 he wrote, “He appointed the moon for seasons; The sun knows its going down.”
I’ve lived a couple places where there were only two seasons…
SoCal had a cool-wet season and a warm-dry season… but no true winter in my opinion…
I remember laying out in December on my kid’s trampoline… 70 degree weather with no humidity… thinking, “This is paradise.”
And, it would have been… if it were not the land of “fruit and nuts.”
The Philippines had two seasons… the warm season and the rainy season.
I remember sitting in 70 degree weather when it rained outside, and was grateful for the reprieve from the hot and humid climate…
I was in shorts and a T-Shirt… Filipinos wore coats…
They are very sensitive to cold.
And again… no defined winter there… tropical.
Chicago, IL… also two seasons…
Winter and construction.
That’s what we were told when we moved there… and if you’ve ever lived there… you know what I mean.
Beyond the division of seasons… are days and years…
One rotation of the earth… marks a day…
… and one rotation of the earth around the sun marks a year… 365 days (the Jewish prophetic year is twelve 30-day months… 360 days in a year).
Day in V14 is Hebrew yom… a literal 24-hour day… the same word repeated for each of the first six days of creation…
God created in six literal 24-hour days… not ages… not millions of years…
If you don’t think God could speak life and creation into existence… in literal hours and days… your perspective on God is… small.
He is all powerful… creation is beneath Him… and He is worthy of our praise.
Psalm 113:3 “From the rising of the sun to its going down The Lord’s name is to be praised.”
V15 declares that God created the lights to give light on earth… and V16 God made… two great lights… the “greater light to rule the day” (our Sun)… and the “lesser light to rule the night” (our Moon)…
Both light-bearers, but not the same substance… one gives light… the other only reflects light…
But, functionally to earth… both “give light.”
Secular scientists contradict what we’ve read thus far in the Biblical creative process of the earth and sun…
They say the sun is older then the earth. 4.6 billion years for the sun… 4.5 billion years for the earth and moon…
We read the earth was formed on Day 1 and the Sun on Day 4.
Secular evolutionists claim the sun was a a giant, rotating cloud of gas and dust called the solar nebula…
… that collapsed under its own gravity… most of the material accumulated at the center to form the Sun… the remaining material formed planets and other objects in our solar system.
Nothing in the beginning exploded in a big bang… then, a Nebula imploded… paving the way for life as we know it.
Got it?
Evolutionist claim the opposite of the Bible… that life came from the sun…
God’s word intentionally displays the Sun being created after the earth and plant life… because He wants us to know that life came from Him… NOT from the Sun.
God created the sun on Day 4… maybe even to curb mankind’s inclination to worship the sun… which many cultures historically have done.
Psalm 121:5-6 “The LORD is your keeper; The LORD is your shade at your right hand. 6 The sun shall not strike you by day, Nor the moon by night.”
The worst you can expect from the sun is sunburn… or heat stroke, but no divine judgment.
It’s as if… built into creation God shouted, “Worship the One True God… not the Sun god!”
Egypt was one of the culture who deified the sun… and their key Egyptian god was “Ra” (body of a man… head of a hawk).
And he was exposed as powerless in Exo 10… during the Ninth plague… thick darkness was over the land of Egypt… for three days. If Ra were all powerful, he would have shone through the darkness.
Where was Ra? Nowhere… he was a fabrication in the depraved minds of created beings… trying to make sense of life and creation.
Rom 1:22-23 “Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.”
Mankind when they reject God… their left to their imaginations… including modern scientific theories that force God out… and open the door for corrupt morality.
For if there is no God… then morality is subjective… sin is a myth… and anything goes.
Almost as a footnote… at the end of V16 we read, “He made the stars also.”
Just three words in Hebrew… “the stars also”
Look up at the sky on a clear night and count as many stars as you can… you get lost.
But what are they to God?
Ps 147:4-5 “He counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by name. 5 Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite.”
God not only can count the stars, but He knows them by name.
And, presently… Astronomers estimate roughly 200 billion trillion stars in the observable universe.
Which is a number too large to comprehend.
You could count the rest of your life and you’d never come close to 200 billion trillion.
One estimate… and I have no idea if this is true, but even counting to 2 billion… if you counted 1 number per second, it would take 63 years to count to 2 billion.
And… God can count the stars… and knows them all by name.
But, just three words are spent, “… the stars also”… describing the vastness of the stars in the universe… like an afterthought to God.
But, 50 chapters are devoted to describing the tabernacle… the place where the Israelites could commune with God.
It’s obvious that God is not looking out into the vastness of space… as much as He is looking down to what happens here on Earth.
To the place where He would send His Son… to the place where He would create mankind in His image…
His special creation with an eternal soul and an eternal spirit… whom He desires to commune with.
What value is the universe even compared to one soul?
Jesus asked, “For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?” (Matt 16:26)
To gain the whole world is temporary satisfaction… and not worth it to lose that which is eternal… the soul.
And, world in that verse is Gk. kosmos… which can be translated as “world” or “the material universe.”
Souls are far more important than even the vastness of the stars and the planets…
Consider this… the cost to God of creating the universe was simply to speak… but the cost to redeem a soul came at a deep price.
Redemption cost the Father His Son… it created a separation and suffering…
It was far more costly to redeem a soul… then to create the universe…
Ps 8:3-5 reads, “ When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained, 4 What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? 5 For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor.”
Scripture declares we are made a little lower than the angels… NOT a little higher than the apes… but you can decided which you’d rather believe.
I’m going with a little lower than the angels…
And, note the Psalmist considers how it was just finger-work for God to create the heavens… the moon and the stars…
And asks ‘what is man that You are mindful of him?”
Abraham would later humble himself in speaking to the LORD and say, “Indeed now, I who am but dust and ashes have taken it upon myself to speak to the Lord...”
We are but dust… How amazing that God would honor us with such privileges of having dominion over His creation… and that He would visit us.
It was just finger-work for God to create the stars… the galaxies… the universe…
But to be the just and justifier of man… it took so much more… He had to take on flesh and die.
The Psalmist declares, “O LORD, our Lord, How excellent is Your name in all the earth!”
I listen to these guys that describe other privileges we have, shrouded in God’s great love for us… such as how in the expanse of the universe… our planet is magnificently positioned to observe the rest of our galaxy… the Milky Way…
We are in the finest piece of real estate in the universe to sustain life…
… and while the galaxies do not determine whether or not our existence continues… they’re there… we look up a behold…
… we’re positioned to observe the rest of the galaxy better than any other location in our galaxy…
Ps 19:1 testifies of this… “The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork.”
Ps 97:6 “The heavens declare His righteousness, And all the peoples see His glory.”
The pricelessness of where we live testifies of the care God has for us…
And, the extra steps He took to ensure “it was good” each step of the way…
Good for us to enjoy… and in our realization of God’s great love for us… all creation should posture their hearts back in worship of Him.
One final thought comparing the eternal soul and spirit to the finite universe… eternal things go on forever without end, but the universe has an end… an expiration date.
2 Peter 3:10 declares, “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.”
This finite world will disappear… and then God will re-create…
Revelation 21:1 reads, “Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea.”
And, I don’t think we take this in enough… but when God creates a new heaven, a new earth, and a new Jerusalem…
… to some degree… we’re not going to have to wonder about how it unfolds… because we will have front row seats.
John… in Revelation saw… was given the vision to scribe to us that he beheld a new heaven… a new earth… he saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God.
I do hope we see the entirety of the new creation step-by-step like we read here in Genesis. I think we will. Can you imagine creation unfolding before our eyes? What a thought.
Revelation promises believers, as God’s servants will “inherit all things”, and “reign forever and ever”…
Beautiful promises at the end of the book… God’s goodness for believers written into His word… in the final chapter…
And, repeatedly we read when we open the book… following the days of creation… we read, “God saw it was good.”
So much good that God intends for us.
Wrapping up the fourth day… “God said...” … a phrase repeated 10x in Chapter 1…
“Let”… as in “Let there be” or “Let the waters”… “Let” is repeated 8x in Chapter 1 and is an imperative or a command…
… “and it was so” … a phrase repeated 6x in Genesis 1 emphasizing what God says He does and He has the power to bring to completion.
“And God saw it was good” repeated 6x… for He is good… and a good provider… and His creation is good.
Good reminders… of God’s power… promises… and provisions.
Moving on… V20… the Fifth Day… Then God said, “Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens.”
Now that God has established the earth’s Biosphere… where life exists… the ecosystems which includes the atmosphere… the hydrosphere… and the lithosphere…
God also created plants for food…
And with all this… Now… animal life has all the necessities for survival on earth…
So we see abundant life in the waters on the earth and in the air…
The phrase the “face of the firmament” is what AIG holds to mean our sky… and certainly that context fits here.
God creates “living creatures”… living can mean “soul, a living being.”
As distinct from plant life which has no soul… you can hug a tree, but it does not reciprocate.
But, a dog… there’s a soul… a personality…
Very motivated by food… or pleasing it’s master, but there is thought… there is intelligence.
But, distinct from mankind whom God made in His image… a trinity of body, soul and spirit.
I love my dogs… I have four of them… and feel free to disagree with me, but I don’t hold to ‘all dogs go to heaven.’
I hope I’m wrong, but I don’t see it in scripture where animals are eternal beings.
There will be animals in the millennial kingdom… lot’s of them… and harmony will return on earth… like in Eden.
In Isa 11:6-9, we see all kinds of animals in the Millennial kingdom “The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, The leopard shall lie down with the young goat, The calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little child shall lead them. 7 The cow and the bear shall graze; Their young ones shall lie down together; And the lion shall eat straw like the ox. 8 The nursing child shall play by the cobra’s hole, And the weaned child shall put his hand in the viper’s den. 9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD As the waters cover the sea.”
I’m not sure what this means for meat eaters. Will there be steak? I mean… it will be there… the cow was listed, but will we partake?
Several OT passages indicate there will be animal sacrifices re-instituted during the millennial kingdom (Isaiah 56:6-8; Zechariah 14:16; Jeremiah 33:15-18, and especially Ezekiel 43:18-46:24),
So, it would seem in the millennium… beef… it’s what’s for dinner.
BUT, in Eternity… scripture declares… there will be “no more death...” (Rev 21:4)
I do hope that tree of life that bears twelve different fruits for each month of the year is out of this world…
And, with our glorified bodies we just won’t care about meat… because it seems we at some point may let go of ribeyes… and prime rib… and cheeseburgers… difficult to imagine.
But, for now… eat up. God gave us dominion over the earth… and His intent was for the earth to be inhabited… with all kinds of lovely creatures…
Some for petting… some for eating.
In Isaiah 45:18 God says, “For thus says the Lord, Who created the heavens, Who is God, Who formed the earth and made it, Who has established it, Who did not create it in vain, Who formed it to be inhabited: “I am the Lord, and there is no other.”
God’s intent was for the earth to be inhabited… and all this work is leading up to His greatest work… mankind.
We are God’s greatest masterpiece…
Eph 2:10 declares, “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works…”
Workmanship is Gk. poiēma… where we get our English word “poem” from. We are God’s poem.
And, God was setting the stages here on Day 5… this final day prior to introducing man to the world on Day 6.
“So [V21] God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.”
God created great sea creatures… NOT blobs of protoplasm… which came by happenstance… by lighting striking primordial ooze…
which always just reminds me of what I see when I’m sick and sneeze… primordial ooze
These verses contradict evolution.
Great sea creatures are not blobs, but Hebrew tannin… translated as “serpent, dragon, monster of the deep.”
Is this the Leviathan of Job 41? Or the Sea Serpent in Job 7:12? Some think ancient crocodiles or great whales now extinct are pictured here. Maybe all of the above.
Are these what ancient tales of antiquity speak of? Are these the dinosaurs? Most likely.
God again reflects on this creation… and whatever your impression of dinosaurs, or dragons… in the beginning prior to the fall…
“God saw it was good.”
Who knows how the fall of man distorted this good creation.
Then, continuing in V22, “And God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.” 23 So the evening and the morning were the fifth day.”
God not only saw His work was good in V21, but He also pronounced blessing on the animals He now created.
They were not an object of God’s love comparable to mankind, but God still are objects of His care and concern.
Jesus would use birds of the air as object lessons of His great care… ,
Matt 10:29 “Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will.”
And Jesus would teach a principle that if God cares for birds… how much more will He care for us?
Matt 6:26 “Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?”
Therefore, what will worry do for us? Nothing… our heavenly Father knows our needs (not our greeds… and He may not bail us out of our mis-deeds), but He knows our needs… and He will care for us.
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things.”
Back in the origins of creation… God desired for sea life and air life to be fruitful and multiply and fill the waters and the sky…
And, it was so…
Today, varying studies estimate anywhere from 50 billion to 430 billion birds in the world.
That’s anywhere from 6-53 birds per person.
You better hope those birds attacking people movies never come true!
The oceans… even more fascinating… contain an estimated 700,000 to 1 million species.
Best estimates from scientists place the fish population of the ocean at around 3.5 trillion.
And, we have barely scratched the surface on discovery of how much life is in the ocean.
The oceans contain 99% of the living space on Earth… and less than 10% of that space has been explored by humans.
Some 50-80% of life on earth is found in the oceans.
It’s amazing how much more discovery there is all around us.
Such good that God created on this earth.
And, before we close out with those words “So the evening and the morning were the fifth day.”
We have now read the phrase “it’s kind” or “According to it’s kind” four times thus far in Genesis 1.
V11, 2x in V12, V21, and we will read this phrase five more times on the sixth day.
It’s am important phrase… “according to its kind” means that it’s not going to produce something, that’s not it’s kind.
An apple won’t produce grapes… dogs don’t produce cats… and apes don’t produce humans. They are different kinds.
A boy or a girl will never become a cat or dog or a furry…
They are not designed for litter boxes in public schools.
Macro evolution is not possible… but macro deception and micro intelligence is alive and well.
Macro evolution states things like the whale which weighs tons evolved over millions of years from land dwelling ancestral hippos.
The didn’t like the land, so they went into the water… and went from roughly 8000 pounds (the size of an ancient hippo) to 400,000 lbs (the size of a blue whale).
Actually, they say the blue whale evolved from the Pakicetus… which is supposed to be like a 100 lb dog.... a four footed mammal.
The theories are something else.
Biblical theories are so much more logical… and believable… I’m not sure how people stomach evolution.
The biblical word “kind” by definition can mean “genus or species.”
AIG writes that the modern word “species” is not necessarily a kind… and I encourage you to read the many articles Answers in Genesis has on kinds.
A simple concept for kind is if two plants or animals can reproduce they are of the same kind.
This is what makes Noah taking two of “every kind” in Gen 6 possible.
He did not have to have every breed of animal… just two of every kind.
Two of the canine kind… which with micro evolution over time… would produce variation within the dog kind.
Today, we have German shepherds, Shelties, Poodles, and Chihuahuas…
Though I’m not sure a Chihuahua is actually a dog. It’s more like a rat dog that barks a lot… and thinks it’s mighty… and likes Taco Bell.
It’s a mutant kind.
If you go to the Creation Museum or Ark Experience… you can see how they’ve bred within a kind… a zebra and a horse (a zorse)… a zebra and a donkey (a zonkey)… Zebroids…
And, that picture is not AI. It’s so frustrating today that we can’t tell anymore what’s real or not.
You have to count how many fingers a person has to see if AI messed up…
But, these zebroids are real. I’ve seen them. They’re fascinating and testify of the truth of kinds and the truth of the Bible.
The Bible allows for variation within a species, but it does not allow for variation in kinds.
That’s why when people were created, there’s no mention of kinds…
Mankind was not created according to kind because there’s only one human kind which is mankind.
Whom… God said, “Let Us make man in our image, according to Our likeness.”
Mankind… whom God loves dearly… whom God sent His Son to redeem…
Revelation saints praise Jesus saying “You are worthy to take the scroll...” You “… have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation...”
“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain.”
We’re going to wrap up there tonight (worship team you can come), but read ahead… next time we will look at the Sixth Day of creation… maybe a bit further.
And, I as we sing this last song… posture your heart to praise Him.
We’ve read so many Psalms tonight where the Psalmist reflects upon creation and praises the name of the Lord.
Let’s pray… and the praise the Lord in song.
Before you leave tonight… if you need prayer for anything, please don’t leave it unsaid… see one of us before you go.
May God bless you richly as you close out this week.
